Polish Fruit and Vegetable Distributors 'Unia Owocowa' take UAE Media & Distributors to Poland
The trip was part of the promotional campaign “Apples from Europe”.
As part of the two-year promotional campaign “The power of flavour, vitamins and colours – enjoy the quality of European apples” run on the United Arab Emirates market, on September 3-7 this year, a study visit of entrepreneurs and media from the United Arab Emirates to Poland took place.
The visit took place thanks to the Association of Polish Fruit and Vegetable Distributors 'Unia Owocowa'.
Participants included representatives of the largest distribution companies from the UAE, such as: Gholami & Abedi, Rush Group, Jaleel Holding, Fit Fresh, Golden Garden Foodstaff Trading, Fruit Line Trading, Kassouma Trading and representatives of the media world of the UAE: Eurofresh Distribution, Hozpitality Media Group and Mark My World Blog.
The purpose of the study tour was to establish and strengthen commercial relations with distributors and to show Poland's production capabilities in the apple sector. Guests from the Emirates had the opportunity to see the orchards just before fruit picking, the largest apple production plants and visit the laboratory of the Provincial Inspectorate for Plant Protection and Seed Production as well as experimental orchards at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, where future fruit growers, apple producers, are educated.
During the visit, a conference was also organized at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, where our guests listened to a lecture by a representative of the Ministry and other institutions, such as the Association "Unia Owocowa", the Polish Investment and Trade Agency, and the State Plant Health and Seed Inspection Service.
The visit took place in a perfect atmosphere, where in addition to the program items closely related to the apple industry, guests had the opportunity to visit Warsaw and also experienced pleasant surprises, such as a picnic in the picturesque apple orchard.
During a visit to the headquarters of the Association "Unia Owocowa", there was a presentation and a series of b2b meetings during which our guests could meet the Association's members and talk about details related to the export of apples to the United Arab Emirates.
The visit of Emirate companies was a great opportunity to start the season and prepare the ground for new contracts with distributors from the United Arab Emirates.
