Hozpitality Group proudly recognizes Paul Griffiths, Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Airports, as one of the Top 30 Hospitality and Tourism Leaders in the Middle East for 2024.
Paul Griffiths has over 34 years of experience in the hospitality and aviation industries. He has been the CEO of Dubai Airports since September 2007, and his previous roles include positions at Gatwick Airport, Virgin Rail Group, and Virgin Atlantic Airways.
Appointed Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Airports in October 2007, Griffiths has been instrumental in transforming the organization from a government department into a dynamic entity that oversees one of the world's largest aviation infrastructures. Under his leadership, Dubai International (DXB) has tripled its passenger and cargo capacity, becoming the world's busiest airport for international passengers within a decade.
Griffiths has been part of a remarkable team that has hosted hundreds of millions of customers while strategically enhancing the airport's infrastructure. Significant milestones include the opening of DXB's Terminal 3 in 2008, the inauguration of Dubai World Central (DWC) in 2010, and the completion of Concourse A in 2013, the world's first and largest purpose-built A380 facility.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, Griffiths and his team exhibited exceptional agility, returning to full operational capacity by November 2021 and welcoming international tourists back as early as July 2020.
Griffiths is proud to lead an organization that plays a vital role in making Dubai the largest international transport hub in the world, underpinning the city's growth and success in global tourism.
