Dubai, April 2019 - Park Hyatt Dubai is pleased to welcome Alex Moser, a seasoned culinary and hospitality professional, as its new Executive Chef. Born in Germany, Alex joins Park Hyatt Dubai with over 19 years of experience, collated across different Hyatt properties around the world.
The incredibly talented chef began his journey in 1999 as a kitchen apprentice at Grand Hyatt Berlin, where he learned the foundations of culinary art. After moving to Dubai in 2003 Alex continued gathering knowledge and learning new techniques across the brand at iconic properties, including Grand Hyatt Dubai, Park Hyatt Dubai and Hyatt Regency Dubai.
In 2008, Alex pursued his gastronomic adventure abroad, moving to Russia to gain international experience and further develop his skills – first as Executive Sous Chef at Hyatt Regency Ekaterinburg, followed by his position as Executive Chef at Hyatt Regency Vladivostok and Hyatt Burny Point. In 2014, Alex took his expertise to Hyatt Regency Istanbul Atakoy, where he joined the pre-opening team as Executive Chef, and developed dining concepts further.
In his most recent position at Andaz Delhi, Alex supervised the food and beverage needs of guests across 401 rooms and four food and beverage outlets, where he developed menus featuring an array of cuisines from modern European flavours to succulent Cantonese feasts. His work influenced the industry through his creative and innovative approach towards local sourcing and involving communities around the country to showcase the beauty of ingredients. He has gained a lot of recognition by several leaders in the industry and was named the Artisanal Chef of the Year and Rising Star in 2017 just to mention few.
His time with Andaz Delhi was a true testament to his work and abilities, where he achieved six awards for AnnaMaya, Hong Kong Club and Juniper Bar. The venues were recognized by some of the best known names in the industry, including Vir Sanghvi, Indian Restaurant Awards, GQ India and Conde Nast Traveller and AnnaMaya was listed in top 50 Best restaurant in the country.
In early 2019, the culinary expert returned to Dubai for the first time in over 11 years, to acquire the prestigious position of Executive Chef at Park Hyatt Dubai. Alex now leads all food and beverage activities across the hotel’s five dining concepts, banquet kitchen and in-room dining.
