COO Chris Newman will handle the business operations
Olivier Harnisch has stepped down from the role of CEO at Emaar Hospitality Group to pursue his new interests. Olivier was a part of Emaar Hospitality for the last 2 years after he moved from Carlson and Rezidor Group. Olivier has 20 years of strong hospitality experience from Europe and the Middle East.
The company COO, Chris Newman will now handle the business operations. An Emaar spokesperson said: “We can confirm that Olivier Harnisch is leaving Emaar Hospitality Group to pursue new interests. We thank him for his contribution to Emaar Hospitality Group and wish him the best in his future endeavors. Moving forward, Chris Newman, Chief Operating Officer of Emaar Hospitality Group, will handle business operations.”
Emaar is due to open five hotels in Dubai in the coming months, along with three more Saudi hotels in Meccah, Jeddah and King Abdullah Economic City.
