Chef Sachin Sharma brings 15 years of culinary experience
Copthorne Hotel Dubai, located in Port Saeed in Deira, is pleased to announce the appointment of Sachin Sharma as the new Executive Sous Chef.
Sharma brings 15 years of culinary experience to the four-star property following his three-year tenure as Sous Chef at Intercontinental Marina Dubai. He will now be responsible for overseeing all of Copthorne Hotel Dubai’s kitchen operations, which includes Crystal Restaurant, Choices Café, Gazebo Pool Terrace, as well as in-room dining and banqueting events.
His culinary journey started in 2003 at the Hotel Trident in Agra, India which is a few minutes’ walk from the famous Taj Mahal where he held the positions of Commis Chef and Chef de Partie. He left India in 2009 and moved to Scotland where he worked at an Italian fine dining restaurant called L’Ariosto for two years.
Sharma then returned to India in 2011 to take on the role of Junior Sous Chef at Taj Lake Palace and then as Sous Chef at Hyatt Regency in New Delhi back in 2012. His UAE experience began in 2013 when he joined Danat Jebel Dhanna Resort in Abu Dhabi as Sous Chef.
Sharma’s culinary passion has gained him a number of recognitions such as “Most Enthusiastic Chef of the Year 2015”, “Excellent Performance in the Kitchen” and “Outstanding Performance in Kitchen Project”.
