Marriott Hotel Al Forsan Abu Dhabi Announces David Lance as General Manager
Part of Marriott International for 16 years, David Lance brings more than two decades of hospitality experience to his new role at the helm of the busy Khalifa City hotel.
Abu Dhabi, UAE, 28 October 2019: Marriott Hotel Al Forsan Abu Dhabi has announced the appointment of David Lance as General Manager. In his role, starting on November 1st, 2019, David will oversee the management and operations of the five-star property nestled within Khalifa City.
A hands-on and goal-orientated professional, David brings more than 20 years of experience to Marriott Hotel Al Forsan. Prior to this new role, the Australian led the teams at Marriott Hotel and Marriott Executive Apartments Downtown Abu Dhabi to success by achieving growth in revenue per available room (RevPAR) and exceeding budgeted gross operating profit (GOP) while acing brand standard audit scores.

David began his career at Sydney Marriott Hotel in 2003, where he worked as a Duty Manager and Front Office Manager. Three years later, he joined Mayfair, Bangkok – Marriott Executive Apartments as Executive Assistant Manager followed by two years as Director of Operations at the Courtyard by Marriott Phuket at Patong Beach.
In 2011, David became the General Manager at Sukhumvit Park, Bangkok – Marriott Executive Apartments, where he served as a strength to the team for three years before moving to the United Arab Emirates in 2015.
In addition to supervising operations and managing hotel staff, David will uphold guest relations by frequent interaction. To continue ensuring guest satisfaction, he will also focus on maintaining high standards of quality and service at the property and look into the various ways to enhance guest experience.
