Margaret Tlau, Director of Food & Beverage at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan, has earned a prestigious spot among Hozpitality's Best 30 F&B Leaders in the Middle East for 2024. Her recognition is a testament to her significant contributions and leadership within the hospitality industry.
With over a decade of diverse experience, Margaret has played pivotal roles in various esteemed hotels and resorts across the UAE and internationally. Since joining Rotana Hotel Management Corporation PJSC, Margaret has steadily risen through the ranks, thanks to her dedication to operational excellence, leadership development, and food safety management.
In July 2024, Margaret was appointed Director of Food & Beverage at Khalidiya Palace Rayhaan in Abu Dhabi. Prior to this role, she served as the Cluster Assistant Director of Food & Beverage from March 2022 to July 2024, where she oversaw food and beverage operations at multiple properties within Rotana. Her leadership was instrumental in enhancing service quality and efficiency.
Before this, she was the Manager in Charge of Food & Beverage from October 2018 to March 2022, demonstrating her ability to lead teams, streamline operations, and implement food safety management systems. Margaret’s expertise in leadership development and food and beverage operations has been a cornerstone of her success.
Margaret’s career began in the UAE hospitality industry in 2013, where she worked as a Restaurant Supervisor at Anantara Hotels, Resorts, and Spas. She quickly gained a reputation for her strong management skills and commitment to enhancing customer service experiences. She later joined Pullman Hotels & Resorts as an F&B Supervisor, further honing her operational and leadership capabilities.
Her career journey also includes roles in the UK, where she worked as a Team Leader at Rocco Forte Hotels in Edinburgh and as a Food & Beverage Attendant at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts. These experiences allowed Margaret to build a strong foundation in customer service and food safety practices.
Margaret holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Hospitality and Tourism Management from Edinburgh Napier University. Additionally, she earned a Diploma in Hotel Management from the International Institute of Hotel Management, further solidifying her expertise in hospitality operations and administration.
