The event is to mark the Breast Cancer Awareness month
Manzil Downtown has organised a Pink Afternoon Tea to mark Breast Cancer Awareness month. The special gathering was hosted by H.E Sara Al Madani, TV presenter and breast cancer survivor Fadia Al Taweel and TV presenter Nouraldin Al Yousuf, who shared their experiences with the audience assembled.
The event was held in the hotel’s restaurant Boulevard Kitchen on October 10, 2018 and it got women together to share their stories of combating and surviving the disease to inspire others towards self-care.
Several guests from the Al Jalila Foundation, the non-profit concern for promoting medical education and research in the United Arab Emirates had also attended the event to share their experience. They were all breast cancer survivors who shared their stories and delivered powerful messages about living life to the fullest while maintaining vigilance against the disease.
Other attendees included female members of Emaar Corporate Team, media personnel and influencers taking a stand against breast cancer fatalities.
The programme saw a frank exchange of views, ideas, prognoses and empowering advice among the guests. Themed refreshments and pink decorations were provided to create a welcoming, disarming and homely atmosphere to broach a serious topic.
