Lush Experiences Member Villa d'Este Hotels Announces Davide Bertilaccio as CEO and Director of Operations Starting April 1, 2022
Industry veteran, Davide Bertilaccio will join Villa d'Este Hotels.
Denver, CO—FEBRUARY 24 2022 — Defined by sumptuous luxury properties, world-class DMC partners, and a team dedicated to its collection members, Lush Experiences, www.lushexperiences.com, today announced Davide Bertilaccio will join Villa d'Este Hotels as CEO and Director of Operations, overseeing the 4 properties of the Group: the iconic 5-star Villa d'Este on Lake Como, the newly refurbished 5-star Villa La Massa in Florence on the banks of the Arno River and the two 4-star Hotels in Como downtown, Palace Hotel and Hotel Barchetta Excelsior.

Davide was born in Friuli Venezia Giulia and began his career in tourism and hospitality at the A. Volta Technical Institute for Tourism in Udine, completing his training at Cornell University, (School of Hotel Administration), in Ithaca, New York.
His 30-year career in the hospitality industry began after some experiences in England and France with Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts where, after having participated in the opening of the iconic Four Seasons Hotel in Milan in 1993, he had managerial roles in the properties of Santa Barbara CA, Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, Las Vegas, London and Paris.
He left Four Seasons in 2001 to become Executive Assistant Manager at the Hotel Cala di Volpe in Sardinia, at the time part of the Starwood Group.
He then became General Manager for the first time at the Hotel Savoy in Florence - Rocco Forte Hotels in 2002, where he remained until 2006, and then moved to Geneva for the opening of Le Richemond, another property of the Group.
In 2008 he took part in the opening of the Armani Hotel in Dubai with the role of Director of Operations.
From 2011 to 2014 he was chosen by the Moevenpick Group as General Manager for the hotels in Singapore, Tunis and Casablanca.
Over the next two years, he moved to Central Africa as Area General Manager for FRHI Hotels & Resorts, overseeing three properties in Kenya, including Nairobi's Fairmont Norfolk, where he was also General Manager.
He returned to Italy in 2016 to fill the position of Managing Director at the Rosewood Hotel Castiglion del Bosco. He then became Regional Vice President and Managing Director in 2019, expanding his operational responsibility to the other European properties of the Group: from the Rosewood Hotel in London, to the Parisian Hotel de Crillon, up to the re-branding and reopening of the Rosewood Hotel Villa Magna in Madrid in 2021.
