LOS CABOS, Mexico (February, 2020) – Pícaro Garden Cuisine, a rustic chic take on farm-to-table dining experience opened its doors earlier this month at the exclusive 834-acre residential resort community in Los Cabos, Rancho San Lucas. Strategically located minutes away from Grand Solmar at Rancho San Lucas Resort Golf & Spa, Pícaro offers hotel guests as well as Los Cabos visitors a taste of Baja’s fresh produce through the Garden Cuisine concept, featuring ingredients sourced daily from nearby farms, while foraged herbs and fresh seafood from the surrounding Pacific Ocean & Sea of Cortez take center stage in the restaurant’s vibrant menu.

Situated hillside within the Rancho San Lucas community and overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the Modern-Spanish venue provides a peaceful ambiance, premium wines, and a casual food menu to easily create the perfect lazy Cabo afternoon. The restaurant uses rustic dark wood, open kitchen, and eclectic décor shape its Pícaro personality, while the surrounding serene vistas and soft wind of Cabo make this gem a not-to-miss experience. The restaurant’s prime location within Rancho San Lucas and superb gastronomic offering set Pícaro at an opulent standard of gourmet wholesome cuisine.

Pícaro takes its name after a famous character of history known for its mischievous, cunning, and crafty personality, which is directly reflected in the restaurant’s diverse menu. Every day, visitors will be greeted with a variety of options scrawled on a dry erase board, yet also surprised by the freshness, complexity, and sophistication of the end product. Distinguished menu items range from freshly sautéed prawns, slow braised octopus, and fettucine with homemade sausage, all expertly paired with wine from Mexico’s finest vineyards. Pícaro’s whimsical menu is spearheaded by Chef Ricci, who some say is has a Pícaro personality of his own. Chef Ricci takes advantage of what grows from the land and creates dishes using methods from rich traditions or techniques he’s created from his own research, all to ultimately maintain the highest quality of the end product. Born in Rome, Italy, Ricci has dedicated his life to researching different Roman gastronomic skills, and has used these to transform his work in the restaurants part of the Solmar Group since joining in 2010.

Pícaro also offers a warm and inviting setting for both intimate and social events. The Cava is a special location within the restaurant where the finest selection of wines from different wine-growing regions in Mexico are stored, which also doubles as Chef Ricci’s intimate dining room, sitting up to 10 guests. The restaurant can also be reserved for a private event for up to 100 guests for events from weddings to anniversary dinners.
