Ramada is a popular name in the hospitality industry. Ramada is a chain of hotels part of Wyndham Hotels worldwide. We recently had a chance to stay at The Residences of Ramada Powai Hotel in Mumbai. Located in suburbs of Mumbai’s business district, Ramada Hotel provides a resort kind of experience. The complex has 2 buildings one with Hotel and one of the Residences. It would be perfect for a staycation, business visit or a long term stay with the family at The Residences.
Since we were staying longer and were traveling with kids, we chose to stay at The Residences. The hotel is very affordable and comes with all the necessities, free breakfast menu, and free wi-fi. The breakfast menu is huge that covers continental and Indian breakfast cuisines, masala tea available on request is like the cherry on the top.
The hotel is very convenient to get cabs and autos are available just outside the hotel gate.

Our check-in was handled very nicely by the Front Desk associate. The reception staff took time to explain the area to us. We arrived just after midnight, although we had informed the hotel that we would want an early check around 7 instead we reached the hotel at around 4am. The reception accommodated us immediately.
Rooms: –

The modern guest rooms featured 1-bedroom apartment with spacious living room, equipped with sofa cum bed, study table and a separate dining area. The bedroom had a large queen bed with clean bedding, soft and firm pillows, a fitted closet and sitting space. Both the rooms had independent A/C units, flat screen TV’s, high ceiling; luggage bench with storage drawers.
The rooms were spacious and very chic in design, having a very European style to them. The beds were very comfortable and provide a good night’s rest. We were a family of 2 adults and 2 kids and we managed to accommodate comfortably in the room with a queen bed and an extra sofa-bed.
The washroom was well lit, with the main light, a timer-controlled heat light, and LED lighting all around the perimeter of the large mirror. Shower area was also large with modern style showering equipment.
Kitchen: –

Since it was a hotel apartment, we also had a kitchen inside with a classy large steel fridge, a washing machine, microwave and all the pots and pans required for cooking. Just perfect for a family if they want to cook and do the laundry.
F&B Facilities: –

The eating area is large and spacious, and the food selection even includes a buffet-style service of scrambled eggs, bacon, and sausage. Of course, the standard offerings of buns, toast, cereals, coffee/tea, juices, etc. are also available. For me, it was great to have all the Indian vegetarian varieties served at the breakfast.
Spa/Pool: –

There is an outdoor pool in the hotel, we made sure to use it at least once during our stay. The pool looked clean with guests enjoying the facilities.
There is a complimentary Fitness Center with Treadmill, elliptical, recumbent bike and free weights.
Skky Restaurant:
Our ratings (Out of 10): – 10
I would highly recommend the Skky restaurant at the top, the ambiance is delightful and the food there was amazing. We ordered Mango, Basil, lemon mocktail and it was so refreshing. The weather in Mumbai is still good, we absolutely enjoyed the breeze outside. The area is perfect for fine dining and has a bar. Night lights and lotus flowers add more to the outdoor seating. The hotel is close to the business district hence a lot of foreign visitors were staying and dining in the restaurant.
Kids ordered their standard Pizza Margherita and Potato wedges for dinner. While for starters, we ordered: –
Sichuan Corn Curd: – It was fresh corn blended with Sichuan pepper oil and bean sauce. Since I am a vegetarian, I refrain myself from trying something new, but this was really recommended. I am glad I tried; it tasted so delicious. We ordered 2 plates then,
Crispy Mushroom with Chilly Garlic Sauce: – Mushrooms with homemade chilly garlic sauce.
For dinner, we ordered; Tahu Broccoli Dengen Sereh:- A stir fry of silken-tofu and broccoli with lemongrass and light soya. Noodles and fried rice.
Our stay at Ramada Powai hotel was fantastic, kids enjoyed too. We would definitely recommend it and will surely return back soon.
