With over nine years of experience in Marketing Communication, Public Relations, and social media, she is a self-driven and motivated professional with a diverse skill set encompassing digital and traditional marketing within the Hospitality and Lifestyle industry.
Originally from India, Karishma began her marketing journey in 2007 as a Management Trainee at Clea PR in Mumbai. Here, she began honing her skills by managing the media database, liaising with lifestyle media, and generating proactive story ideas for clients. Her talents were quickly recognized, leading to her appointment as PR Manager for the Leisure division of Leela Kempinski Hotel Mumbai in 2008. At Leela Kempinski, Karishma played a pivotal role in planning and executing the annual public relations plan for leisure & business properties, notably orchestrating the successful PR launch of The Leela Palace.
Karishma's career trajectory saw her transition to roles with PR Pundit and Rotana in Fujairah before relocating to Dubai in 2014 to join Minor International. Over her tenure with Minor International, she ascended to the position of Marketing & Communications Manager, responsible for implementing effective marketing & communication strategies for the property. Subsequently, she served as Marketing Manager at St Regis Dubai, Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club, where she spearheaded the marketing and communication department of the brand's first-ever equestrian-inspired resort worldwide. Prior to joining Centara, she held the position of Marketing Communications Manager for Renaissance Downtown Hotel, Dubai.
Assuming her current role as the Director of Marketing at Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai in July 2021, Karishma has played a pivotal role in enhancing the resort's appeal and standing. Leveraging her extensive marketing and PR experience, she has successfully positioned the resort as a premier family destination in the region. Her strategic pre-opening marketing & PR strategy has garnered significant brand awareness and publicity for the resort, contributing to its top positioning on vital online channels such as Trip Advisor, Booking.com, and Google.
In addition to her marketing prowess, Karishma actively engages in operational support, driving guest retention rates and contributing to the overall success of Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai.
