Jonathan Worsley, the Chairman and Founder of The Bench Advisory Board at Emirates Academy, has been recognized as one of the Best 30 Hospitality and Tourism Leaders in the Middle East by Hozpitality Group.
Jonathan Worsley, a forward-thinking leader renowned for his significant contributions to the hospitality and events industry, co-founded and organized prominent international conferences such as AHIC (Arabian Hotel Investment Conference), FHS Saudi Arabia, AHIF (Africa Hospitality Investment Forum), IDEEA Hospitality Investment Summit, AviaDev, and GRIF (Global Restaurant Investment Forum). He also serves as a partner in South America's SAHIC.
In response to changing circumstances in 2020, Jonathan and The Bench team swiftly transitioned to pioneering virtual and hybrid conferences. This strategic shift led to the creation of the Hospitality Tomorrow series and the Future Hospitality Summit for the G20 Saudi Secretariat, showcasing his steadfast dedication to elevating industry engagement.
Jonathan's impact dates back to 1997 when he co-founded the IHIF (International Hotel Investment Forum), an annual event now drawing over 2,500 delegates annually. His extensive career includes roles at renowned organizations like CBRE & Hotel Partners, PKF, and Forte & Holiday Inns.
Beyond organizing conferences, Jonathan's legacy is defined by his commitment to driving industry evolution, fostering innovative ideas, and supporting groundbreaking concepts. He co-founded STR Global and initiated programs like the FHS Startup Den and Lead the Change. He champions sustainability through initiatives like the Sustainable Hospitality Challenge, either as a judge or by hosting the finals at FHS. He also sits on the boards of startups like Fresh on Table, inHovate, and Envi Lodges, believing in their transformative potential for the industry.
Jonathan is a trustee of the Sustainability Hospitality Alliance and Future Talent, a charity supporting young musicians. He serves on the Emirates Academy Hospitality Management Advisory Board and recently completed a 5-year term on the board of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority.
