Joana’s career in hospitality began in 2013 at Le Royal Meridien Abu Dhabi, where she started as a receptionist. Her dedication and passion for excellence quickly propelled her to a supervisory role within just a year and a half. Her relentless drive for growth and excellence led her to the position of Duty Manager after only two years, where she demonstrated exceptional leadership, inspiring her team to achieve new heights.
Joana’s pursuit of new challenges brought her to the pre-opening team at The Palm, where her outstanding performance and commitment earned her a promotion to Assistant Front Office Manager, solidifying her potential as a leader. In 2021, she took on the role of Front Office Manager at Courtyard by Marriott in Green Community, where her adept management skills produced unprecedented results.
In January 2023, Joana transitioned to Four Points by Sheraton Production City, Dubai, where she quickly made a significant impact. Her strategic leadership not only met but exceeded the organization’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Among her many accomplishments during her tenure, Joana improved the Booking.com rating from 8.1 to 8.3, achieved an impressive 91% in the 2024 Brand Standard Audit, and surpassed loyalty enrolment goals by 179% as of June 2024.
Joana’s accolades include being recognized as the Digital Guest Experience Top Performer in September 2023. She achieved a year-to-date success rate of 98.9% for mobile key deliveries and 98.1% for guest chat responses in 2024. Additionally, she reviewed 97.8% of high actionable insights, contributing significantly to GOP growth through effective upselling strategies.
