Jisha Anish named among Hozpitality's Best 30 Most Popular Housekeeping Leaders in the Middle East for 2023
Jisha Anish, the Assistant Director of Housekeeping at Golden Tulip Nizwa Hotel, Oman, with more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, has a proven track record of managing a diverse range of housekeeping tasks and extensive management experience with many brands.
Jisha Anish, an Indian national, has been working at the Golden Tulip Nizwa Hotel in Oman for the past twelve and a half years. She has recently been named among the Best 30 Housekeeping Leaders in the Middle East. Jisha is an Assistant Director of Housekeeping and is responsible for managing a diverse range of housekeeping tasks and extensive management experience with many brands. She has demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to consistently exceed goals. Jisha has an expert knowledge of chemical and cleaning supplies and is very adept at monitoring and developing team member performance. She is also effective in handling queries and complaints in a professional and resolution-oriented manner.
Jisha has worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years, starting her career as an Industrial Trainee with CGH Earth Properties. She has held various roles in the housekeeping department at different properties, including Executive Housekeeper at Raviz Kadavu Resort Calicut. She has also taught housekeeping as a faculty member at the Academy of Management Studies Calicut. Jisha has a Master's in Hospitality Management and is planning to take an advanced Room Division Management course to further advance her career.
Jisha faced the challenge of being a lady leading a large team of locals and other national staff when she moved to the Middle East. However, with the moral support and operational guidance from her CEO and General Manager of Ubar Hotel Group, Mr. Sandeep Jaitly, Jisha overcame this challenge and succeeded in her professional career.
In her current role at the Golden Tulip Nizwa Hotel, Jisha oversees the hotel's cleanliness and hygiene with 120 guest rooms and various F&B venues and meeting rooms. She is also responsible for leading the housekeeping, laundry, and horticulture team, with 80% Omanisation in the department. Additionally, Jisha has been accountable for being a Hygiene Officer, NSF Audit Coordinator, and Crisis Management Member since the pandemic started in 2020. She ensures that clinical hygiene is followed in the guest and staff areas, is an active member of the Oman Housekeeper Group, and represents Oman as a media coordinator in the Asian Housekeeper's Association.
