Jarvis Dong, the accomplished Executive Chef at SLS Hotel and Residences Dubai, has been recognized in Hozpitality’s Best 30 Powerlist of Chefs in the Middle East for 2025. With over 16 years of culinary experience, Chef Jarvis has established himself as a leader in the luxury hospitality landscape, bringing a wealth of expertise from his diverse roles across the Middle East and Asia.
Chef Jarvis began his career as a Commis Chef at Madinat Jumeirah, Dubai, before taking on key roles at prestigious properties such as Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts in Hangzhou and Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Sanya, China. His global journey also includes senior culinary positions at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Riyadh and Mandarin Oriental Jumeirah.
Prior to joining SLS Dubai, Chef Jarvis served as Executive Chef at Six Senses Qingcheng Mountain Hotel in Chengdu, China, where he led six culinary divisions, banquets, and catering operations. His extensive experience across diverse cuisines and multidisciplinary practices has shaped his unique and dynamic culinary style, enabling him to lead dedicated teams with precision and creativity.
At SLS Dubai, Chef Jarvis oversees the culinary operations of renowned outlets, including the newly renovated Carna by Dario Cecchini, Smoke & Mirrors, and upcoming ventures set to launch in the coming year. He is also a strong advocate for sustainability, aligning with the hotel’s ethos and further solidifying SLS Dubai’s reputation as a leading culinary destination in the region.
