IHG secures second place in prestigious ‘Great Place to Work’ 2018 survey
Saudi Arabia, 25 April 2019: IHG® (InterContinental Hotels Group), one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has been named one of the best places to work in Saudi Arabia, by Great Place to Work®, the global authority on Workplace Culture assessment. IHG was awarded the second place at a prestigious event ceremony held recently in Riyadh.
Commenting on the results Anna-Maria Dreesen-El Achcar, VP, HR, IMEA, said: “Our people are at the heart of our business and every day we do our best to create a great place for them to work. A positive company culture is central to a thriving workplace and IHG is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive and collaborative environment for our team members where everyone feels valued and accepted. We are honoured to be recognised and to receive this award, which is a testament to the emphasis that we place on our people. Securing a top rank in KSA in Great Place to Work 2018 list would not be possible without the dedication of our colleagues across the board, and on behalf of IHG, I would like to congratulate everyone on this remarkable achievement.”
She added: “Encouraged by KSA Vision 2030, the tourism and hospitality sector in Saudi Arabia is expected to grow and flourish in the years to come. With a positive market outlook, IHG intends to grow at great pace in the country due to which we have accelerated the hiring and developing of the right talent to support our business. We are especially focused on training and empowering Saudi youth and presenting them with exciting career opportunities in the growing hospitality industry in KSA.”
