Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis Announces Executive Team Members
Memphis’ soon-to-open hotel names general manager and director of sales, marketing and events
MEMPHIS, TN December 2020:Sarah Titus has been appointed general manager and Nicholas Janysek has been named director of sales, marketing and events of Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis, the only hotel to sit on world-famous Beale Street. The duo will oversee operations of the new-build, full-service, 227-room property, which will open its doorsin early March 2021 as the newest social hub from which to explore and savor the city.
Titus has more than 15 years of unparalleled industry knowledge and experience, having held various front-of-house, back-of-house and managerial positions. After graduating from Eastern Illinois University, Titus began her hospitality career at the Hard Rock Hotel Universal Orlando where she worked her way up the ranks from a front desk agent to assistant guest services manager. Longing to be back in the Windy City, Sarah took her talents to Hard Rock Hotel Chicago, where she then expanded her portfolio by working with brands including Marriott, Hilton and Preferred Hotel Group before joining the Hyatt family. Most recently, she was the hotel manager of the Chicago Association Hotel by Hyatt, where she played an integral role in leading the hotel to maintain a 90% Overall Guest Satisfaction score for four consecutive years. In her new role, Titus will continue to bring a focus on guest satisfaction, handling daily operations, staff development, budgeting and financial planning, and increasing sales and revenue.

Janysek began his hospitality career in 2007 as an event coordinator at Doubletree Guest Suites Austin before working with various Marriott, Embassy Suites and Renaissance hotels in Houston and San Marcos. Since then, he grew his skillset with managerial positions at two Hyatt hotels in Ohio and Maryland. Most recently, he was director of sales, marketing and events at Hyatt Regency Cleveland at the Arcade where he exceeded the propertys annual revenue by closing out 2018 with the highest banquet FandB revenue to date and achieved $300K above budget for the group segment in 2019. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis'sales and marketing efforts, developing strategies for revenue growth, and working with marketing and public relations to ensure consistent media messaging and social communication strategy. He will alsomanage a team of sales associates to create one-of-a-kind group experiences that reflect the culture of the city and maximize revenue potential for the hotel.
