At the Middle East Hospitality Excellence Awards 2024, Giselle Clark, Hotel Manager at Hilton Dubai The Walk, was commended as the CSR/Sustainability Champion of the Year. This prestigious recognition highlights her significant contributions to sustainability and corporate social responsibility within the hospitality industry. The event, sponsored by Generaltec, was held on December 17, 2024, at the Arabian Ranches Golf Resort and Spa, Dubai.
With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Giselle Clark has been a prominent figure in championing sustainability initiatives and promoting eco-friendly hotel practices. Her leadership at the Hilton Dubai The Walk has set a benchmark for incorporating green practices, waste reduction, and energy conservation while maintaining high guest service and operational excellence standards.
Under Giselle's management, Hilton Dubai The Walk has thrived in terms of guest satisfaction and operational efficiency and earned recognition for its commitment to sustainable tourism. Giselle has led multiple initiatives aimed at reducing the hotel's environmental footprint. Her focus on CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) has helped the hotel integrate community outreach, waste management programs, and sustainable sourcing practices into its core operations.
Her efforts to reduce energy consumption, minimize food waste, and promote sustainable practices across the hotel's departments have contributed significantly to Hilton's ongoing sustainability goals.
Prior to joining Hilton Dubai The Walk, Giselle held several senior leadership positions with Jumeirah Group and Firmdale Hotels PLC. She served as Hotel Manager at Jumeirah Mina A' Salam, overseeing profit margins, analytical skills, and guest satisfaction. During her time at Jumeirah, Giselle was instrumental in supporting the pre-opening phases for properties in the Maldives, Azerbaijan, Istanbul, and other global locations. Additionally, Giselle served as General Manager for Knightsbridge Hotel in London, where she successfully managed operational efficiency and profitability.
Her vast experience spans across various prestigious hotels and roles, including Director of Food and Beverage at Marriott Hanbury Manor Hotel and Country Club and Hotel Manager at the Soho Hotel.
A graduate of Middlesex University, Giselle holds a BSc in Hotel and Catering Administration and a Diploma in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Her educational background has provided her with a solid foundation in management, marketing, and sustainable hospitality operations.
