Reflecting the strong and fraternal bond between the two nations
Dubai, UAE: Dubai marked the joyous occasion of Kuwait National Day with citywide celebrations; reflecting the strong and fraternal bond between the two nations. The festivities featured family-oriented social, cultural and entertainment events including a concert by the Kuwaiti Miami Band at Global Village and activities at Dubai Food Festival’s (DFF) signature event, swyp Beach Canteen.
Residents and visitors to Dubai can expect to see the national flag of Kuwait displayed on the iconic Burj Khalifa on 25 February. On the same day, DFF’s swyp Beach Canteen will host a live cooking demonstration at 5:30pm by Kuwaiti Chef Jameela Al Lenqawi, followed by a celebration dinner by Chef Jameela and restaurateur Talal Al Rashid, starting 7:00pm.
In addition, the Kuwait Business Council will host a programme of cultural and sports activities in partnership with swyp Beach Canteen, which runs daily until 26 February and showcases a range of products by Kuwaiti retailers, performances by a Kuwaiti band and a series of fitness and martial arts workshops in collaboration with UFC Gym.
