Dubai Calendar Rounds Up the Best of the City's Live Entertainment Events this June

Dubai, UAE; 30 May 2019: Extending its events season throughout 2019, Dubai is set to welcome a remarkable line-up of artists from across the world to entertain the city this summer. Eid in Dubai celebrations will kick off the entertainment season across the city, including a variety of concerts featuring artists such as Tamer Hosny performing at Dubai Opera on 6 June; and Wael Kfoury and Ragheb Alama performing at the Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre on 7 June.
Meanwhile, with its official launch on 6 June, the Coca-Cola Arena, Dubai’s first and largest air-conditioned multipurpose indoor venue, offering exceptional state of the art sound system and almost 400 square metres of LED screens, will host the return of global stand-up comedy superstar Russell Peters. As the venue’s first official opening act, the much loved comedian promises hilarious - and often unfiltered - humour with his latest world tour ‘Deported’. The Arena will also be hosting the already sold-out performance of world-famous pop-rock band Maroon 5 on 14 June, celebrating the group’s return to Dubai for the first time in eight years.
Continuing the festivities this summertime, Dubai is set to host a range of comedy nights starting with English stand-up comedian Alan Davies on 14 June at the Dubai Opera, sure to entertain audiences with his hysterical show. Headliner comedian Alfie Brown will be performing at the city’s oldest comedy hub, The Laughter Factory, in celebration of its 23rd anniversary between 13-21 June at a variety of venues across the emirate including Mövenpick Dubai Jumeirah Beach, Grand Millennium Dubai, Hilton Dubai Jumeirah Beach and TRYP by Wyndham. And lastly, presenting Indian high-energy comic Varun Thakur, Front Row laughter nights will be hosting the famous comedian at the Emirates International School Auditorium with 30 minutes of all-new hilarious material.
Dubai Opera is also set to host an array of unmissable events throughout the month of June appealing to a wide range of audiences. On 12 June, the venue will host Catrin Finch, one of the most accomplished harpists of her generation, who will be performing music by Bach, Debussy, Fauré as well as traditional Welsh folk music. On 25 June, new wave Parisian band, Nouvelle Vague will perform for one night only as part of their 15th Anniversary world tour. For those who enjoy the enchanting sounds of Sufi, Ghazal & Folk Music, making their world debut of classics, Ustad Shujaat Khan Collective will also be performing on 22 June.
Aboard the Queen Elizabeth 2, a brand-new ABBA tribute band will be performing on 26 and 27 June with a jam-packed night of favourite songs from the group’s all-time hits. Residents and tourists can travel back to the glorious 70’s with authentic costumes, choreography, stirring vocal and musical arrangements. For more musical entertainment, performing live at Dubai World Trade Centre, Filipino superstar and Journey’s lead singer Arnel Pineda will be rocking some of his famous hit songs including ‘Pain in My Heart’ and ‘Liya Ka Rin’ on 14 June.
