Watch Dubai-based Opera Singer Bettina Schweiger’s Live Online Concert this Friday for Free
May 4, 2020. Dubai, UAE - You heard it right, Opera is coming to your home as Dubai Calendar presents A Night at the Opera with Bettina - a first-ever live online opera concert by Dubai-based Soprano Bettina Schweiger that you can watch for free this Friday, May, 8, 2020.
Entitled A Night at the Opera with Bettina, Schweigers concert will be performed without any physical audience and instead it will be streamed globally via Schweigers Instagram account, in light of social distancing measures in place across Dubai, the whole country and the whole world to stem the spread of coronavirus.
Schweiger will be singing the most well known opera arias from legendary and most iconic composers such as Puccini, Verdi and Mozart, as well as other opera essentials from 19th century Neapolitan opera, that will surely transport you to a romantic opera house. All musical numbers are selected to communicate a message of love, healing and hope for better days for the city of Dubai and the UAE as well as the rest of the world.
The Dubai Soprano, who was invited by Dubai Tourisms official event listing platform where both visitors and residents can discover the spectacular events that the city offers - Dubai Calendar - says, Music heals all our pain and sorrow, music makes us happy, music gives us love, hope and inspiration. If I could lend my voice to somehow contribute to relieve the sadness the whole world is going through right now, then I will be an instrument for it.
She continues, I am grateful for this initiative of Dubai Calendar to bring us all together for one evening of music as we continue to help each other in these challenging times and as we continue to heal our planet.
