Christina’s extensive experience and dedication to maintaining the highest health, safety, and hygiene standards in the hospitality industry earned her this prestigious accolade.
Christina’s journey in the hospitality industry spans over 12 years, with a significant portion of her career focused on environmental health, safety, and food hygiene management. Christina serves as the Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Manager at Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi, a role she has held since September 2019. In this capacity, she oversees implementing and managing comprehensive health and safety protocols, ensuring a safe and secure environment for guests and staff.
Before her role at Dusit Thani Abu Dhabi, Christina was a Cluster EHHS Manager at Abu Dhabi National Hotels, a position she has held since February 2019. Her responsibilities included managing health, safety, and hygiene standards across multiple hotel properties, where she successfully integrated safety procedures and training programs that minimized risk and maximized operational efficiency.
Christina’s career began with roles such as EHS & Hygiene Manager at Hilton Abu Dhabi and earlier positions as EHS & Hygiene Officer at Holiday Inn Hotel, Abu Dhabi, and Hygiene Officer at Sheraton Khalidiya Hotel. These roles provided her with hands-on experience in safety management, equipping her with the skills to excel in her current position.
Christina holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Technology from the University of the Philippines Los Banos, which provided her with a strong foundation in food safety, health, and hygiene management. Her academic background and her practical experience have enabled Christina to implement effective safety measures and hygiene protocols across various hospitality settings in the UAE.
Christina’s leadership is defined by her proactive approach to health and safety challenges. She is known for her ability to design and implement robust safety programs that meet regulatory requirements and exceed industry standards. Christina is dedicated to promoting a culture of safety and well-being within the hospitality industry, ensuring that guests and staff are protected from potential hazards.
