Chinese New Year Celebrations Continue at Rosewood Abu Dhabi with Good Fortune Brunch and Lantern Festival

Abu Dhabi, UAE - Rosewood Abu Dhabi continues to celebrate health, prosperity and fortune this February and welcomes all to feast on a Chinese New Year culinary experience at Dai Pai Dong.

Guests at the hotel kicked-off the year of the Hog celebrations in style last weekend with traditional Cantonese feasts and spectacular views of the fabulous fireworks display hosted by Al Maryah Island.

Now, the festivities will continue with a celebration of traditional Chinese food and the famous Lantern festival running from February 10-19^th.

Nestled where Rosewood Abu Dhabi meets The Galleria, Dai Pai Dong, will be lit with traditional Chinese lanterns across the venue and will serve an authentic eight-course Cantonese lunch and dinner. Priced at AED 288, appetisers include crispy chicken, scallop lettuce wrap, while main dishes include renowned dishes such as wok-fried prawns, braised seabass, bok choi and eight-treasure rice, and desserts of choice for the festival is Tang Yuan, a form of sweet rice dumplings.

Dai Pai Dong will also host the specially designed ‘The Good Fortune New Year Saturday Brunch’, featuring a wide variety street food delicacies and dim sum. The mains include three irresistible signature dishes, Sichuan style fish fillet, braised chicken with tofu, wok fried beef striploin.

Inspired by the street food movement in China, the menu at Dai Pai Dong showcases modern interpretations of classic dishes such as homemade noodles, dim sum and barbecued meats. The stunning restaurant features Chinese artwork and artefacts, a live show kitchen and a stylish speakeasy bar.

The ‘Good Fortune New Year Saturday Brunch’ runs from 12 pm to 4 pm on February 9^th and 16^th. Packages are priced at AED 268 with unlimited soft drinks and AED 388 with house beverages.

The Lantern Festival lunch runs from 12 pm to 3 pm on all days, while the dinner runs from 6 pm to 11 pm on Saturday to Wednesday and extends up to midnight on Thursdays and Fridays.
