Barceló Hotel Group Announces Continued Growth through Acquisitions and the Opening of New Properties in MENA Region
The brand is set to launch a new 4-star hotel in Dubai, as well as sets its sights on new destinations to expand into
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, April 2019: Barceló Hotel Group continues to build its brand presence in the Middle East and wider MENA region, under the umbrella of Barceló Gulf. The group has made strides towards attaining its regional goals, having recently acquired luxury 5-star Dukes Dubai at The Palm Jumeirah, rebranding it as a Royal Hideaway property.

Moving into 2019, the group shows no signs of slowing down. With a pipeline full of upcoming projects, Barceló Hotel Group continues to build its presence in the market.
The next property set to offer residents and guests of the UAE a taste of the Spanish hospitality giant’s hospitality, is Al Jaddaf property. The brand’s next hotel in Dubai will mark the fourth Barceló hotel in the city, and is on track to open its doors in Q4 this year. The property will house 376 rooms and suites, as well as an array of recreation facilities, state of the art meeting spaces, and variety of F&B concepts. It’s central locality places it in close proximity to the airport and downtown district, catering to different types of travelers, be it tourists, business professionals, or members of the local market.
“Given that the region, is soon to be hosting a number of international scale events such as EXPO 2020, we hope to offer current and future guests memorable hospitality experiences”, Ahmad added.
To date, the Group has introduced the city to its offerings via the Barceló Residences Dubai Marina and rebranding the Sharjah Grand hotel, to fall within the Occidental group of properties. T his was shortly followed by the launch of the Occidental IMPZ Dubai Conference and Events Centre, conveniently located to service the needs of the 2020 EXPO community.
