Thailand is best known for its exotic lush greenery, islands, pristine beaches, waterfalls, massages, hospitality and Food. Bambooda restaurant at Roda Al Bustan has tried to recreate the similar ambiance with finger licking food. Bambooda Asian is a Thai restaurant, you can expect cherry blossoms at the entrance. As you enter, you would be welcomed by Thai hostesses dressed in traditional attire. As you sit, you would hear the flowing water, soothing and cleaning your soul. Bambooda has named their restaurant tables on the names of the popular islands of Thailand. There is a big waterfall in the center of the restaurant, making it a fabulous location. The romantic and elegant ambiance of Bambooda is perfect for date nights, family gatherings and occasions.
Roda Al Bustan is a beautiful 5* property which has been a landmark near Garhoud bridge for more than two decades, they celebrated their 25th-anniversary last year. The property has been managed and maintained very well and it still looks fresh and competent to face the newly opened fashionable hotels in the market. Bambooda is an exotic fine dining destination that you would want to experience.
For starters we ordered:
Thai flavored prawns- Deep fried prawns in tempura, white sesame seeds with homemade plum sauce in non-veg for hubby and vegetable tempura for me (deep fried onions and potatoes).
Pearls of the Bambooda – This looked like a treasure chest filled with prawn cake, golden bag, chicken satay, vegetable spring roll, pomelo salad, and chicken pandan. I ordered the vegetable spring roll and salad separately for me.
Tom Yam Goong- Hot and sour prawn soup served in the fancy glasses, flavored with lemongrass, Thai chili paste, galangal, and kaffir lime leaves.
For the Main Course: –
Bambooda Fish Boxing: – Deep fried fillet of hammour topped with homemade chili sauce and fresh mango ginger dressing.
Kaeng Kiew Wan Gai: – Chicken green curry, chicken breast slice cooked in green chili paste and coconut milk curry flavored with aromatic Thai basil leaves and eggplant.
Thai Green Curry: – This is my favorite, hot tangy, creamy, sweet and filled with veggies and nuts in coconut gravy.
Stir Fried Vegetables: – Long green beans, broccoli, onion, lemongrass sautéed with cashew nuts.
Since I am a vegetarian, green curry and stir-fried vegetables with jasmine rice are must for me.
Phad Thai: – Wok-fried Thai noodles with tofu in tamarind sauce served with bean sprouts and peanut, side of jasmine rice.
Dessert: – Sugarcane skin filled with white chocolate, sticky rice, and cream and laid on chocolate mud with the garnish of mango puree was a delight.
Bambooda offers valet parking, indoor seating, and delicious Thai food. We enjoyed the variety of food, the service, and staff of Bambooda and wish to return again soon. For more information and reservations contact: –
