Bahia Principe Hotel & Resorts Facilitating Onsite COVID-19 Vaccine for Employees in the Dominican Republic

Miami, FL (May 3, 2021) In support ofBahia Principe HotelsandResorts' continued efforts to fight the global pandemic and long-standing commitment to ensuring the safest conditions for its communities and guests, the leading all-inclusive brand has recently launched a new initiative to facilitate on-site vaccination for all its employees at properties in the Dominican Republic. The effort is in collaboration with the Dominican Republic Responsible Recovery of Tourism program that encourages vaccinations in the country through the "Vacunate RD" campaign.

The properties that have offered the vaccines, which are provided complimentary by the local government, include the hotels currently open in Punta Cana (Bahia Principe Grand Punta Cana, Bahia Principe Fantasia Punta Cana, Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar), and in Samana (Bahia Principe Grand El Portillo).In addition,employees atBahia Principe Grand La Romana have also been vaccinated, as they are serving the recently named Golf Course PGA Ocean's 4 and Residences belonging to Grupo Pinero, Bahia Principe HotelsandResorts'parent company.

The Dominican Republic serves as the second location Bahia Principe HotelsandResorts has launched a vaccination campaign, as they recently led similar efforts in its property in Jamaica (Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica), successfully vaccinating more than 4,500 locals over three days. Among those vaccinated were Bahia Principe employees as well as many locals and high-ranking members of the community who showed tremendous gratitude and appreciation to the resort and local Jamaican government for leading the efforts. The campaign received praise from several country officials including the Minister of Health and Wellness and the Prime Minister of Jamaica, the honorable Andrew Holness.

Further driving their commitment to offering a safe experience for their guests, Bahia Principe HotelsandResorts also provides complimentary COVID-19 antigen tests for all guests who are returning to a destination that requires it for entry. The antigen tests are being carried out by medical professionals, in partnership with local laboratories, in designated areas of the brands resorts in the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Jamaica. Guests are guaranteed test results within 72 hours before departure in written and/or electronic format. In the event, a guest tests positive while staying at a Bahia Principe property, they (and a plus one) will be able to extend their stay and quarantine on-site for up to 10 nights complimentary.
