Ashok Kapur, the accomplished Director of MICE Global Sales—Middle East and Director of Sales at Taj Dubai, has been awarded the Sales and Revenue Champion of the Year gold at the prestigious Middle East Hospitality Excellence Awards, proudly presented by Taaza. This accolade recognizes Ashok's remarkable contributions to the hospitality sector and exceptional ability to drive sales and revenue growth.
With over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Ashok is celebrated as a seasoned commercial leader. His expertise spans catering, sales, spa management, and leisure services, reflecting his versatile and comprehensive approach to business development. His passion for delivering results is evident in his consistent success in driving innovation and exceeding targets across multiple roles.
Currently serving as Area Director of Sales & Marketing – Middle East and Director of Sales & Marketing for Taj Dubai, Ashok has been instrumental in transforming the sales strategies for IHCL (The Indian Hotels Company Limited) in the Middle East. Over the past three years, he has spearheaded key initiatives, significantly boosted revenue streams while maintained the brand's stronghold in the competitive hospitality landscape of Dubai and beyond.
Before his tenure with IHCL, Ashok held pivotal roles at leading hospitality organizations, including Hilton Hotels Worldwide, Eden Group Hotels & Resorts, and Unicorn Hospitality Co. Ltd. His achievements include expanding market presence, optimizing revenue management strategies, and fostering key partnerships to deliver exceptional results.
Ashok's academic foundation in marketing, with a PGDBM from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, and his formal training in hotel management from the Institute of Hotel Management, Lucknow, further amplifies his professional edge.
