Swiss-Belhotel International rounded off the Arabian Travel Market 2019 with a highly successful show over the last four days. Attending the exhibition, that attracted more than 40,000 industry professionals from around the world, were Mr. Gavin M. Faull, Chairman and President of Swiss-Belhotel International, Mr. Matthew Faull, Senior Vice President – E-Commerce, Distribution and IT, and Mr. Laurent A. Voivenel, Senior Vice President, Operations and Development for the Middle East, Africa and India, along with other senior management from the region.
Laurent stated, “As always ATM turned out to be hugely successful for us with excellent business and networking opportunities. Our industry has once again shown its vibrant personality and insatiable appetite for growth and innovation. At Swiss-Belhotel International, we made some major announcements this year that were strategically alligned with our growth and expansion in the region.”
Swiss-Belhotel International has set a target of 25 hotels by 2025 in the MENA region identifying the GCC as its main growth market. Laurent stressed, “Geographically speaking, our key focus is to expand and reinforce our position in the GCC through strong organic growth with an objective to have a hotel in operation in every GCC country by the first quarter of 2020.”
Speaking about the openings in 2019, Laurent said, “It is a very significant year for Swiss-Belhotel International with seven stunning properties lined up for opening in quick succession over the next few months. These developments highlight the company’s growth in the region while marking our debut in destinations such as Muscat, Kuwait City, Makkah and Alexandria. Coming to the Middle East with these are four new brands including Grand Swiss-Belresort, Swiss-Belsuites, Swiss-Belboutique, and Swiss-Belinn.”
