Amery Burleigh Appointed New General Manager at Movenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach

Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Amery Burleigh, an American national, to the role of General Manager. Ms. Burleigh joins the Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach  after 6 years as General Manager of Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach, Australia where she was the first female appointed GM for the Sofitel Brand in Australia. She brings over 20 years of international hospitality experience from USA, Australia and Middle East, having worked for brands such as; Fairmont, Four Seasons, and Sofitel.

Ms. Burleigh worked her way up through all areas of the hotel over a 20 year span. In her new role at Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach, Ms. Burleigh will oversee the entire hotel management and operations, and set strategic plans to continue achieving the hotel’s revenue, operating and environmental goals.

Amery Burleigh holds a Bachelor degree in International Trade and Politics from the University of California, Berkeley, USA and a Certificate, Executive Officer from the CEO Institute of Australia.

She replaces Philip Jones who has been appointed Vice President Operations Gulf (Premium Brands) at Accor, effective January 2019.
