Campbell Gray Hotels Announces the Opening of Alex, A Campbell Gray Hotel on Lake Zurich in 2019

London-based Campbell Gray Hotels is delighted to announce the late-spring 2019 debut of Alex on Lake Zurich in Switzerland. This new boutique luxury hotel on the western shore has a unique position and sits right on the Lake.
Perched on the water’s edge and set across five floors with a very special architectural design of stone and glass, the property is currently under construction. Alex will have 44 rooms and suites all with glorious lake views, terraces and kitchens, becoming the first boutique Zurich hotel to offer a more enticing extended stay concept for guests.
Alex provides an excellent location, making it ideal for both business and leisure with a wealth of international companies in the surrounding area.
At the heart of the Hotel, and also managed by Campbell Gray hotels, will be a dynamic and vibrant all-day dining Restaurant and Bar. The contemporary and sophisticated interiors will be complemented by a unique and impressive waterfront terrace with spectacular views across the lake. Grilled Meats and fish will be combined with the freshest salads and vegetables to create a light, healthy and beautiful food offering. The focus will be on the finest quality locally sourced seasonal produce. The wine cellar will combine both known appellations and contemporary producers from across the globe, whilst also maintaining the emphasis on local sourcing by championing the wines of Switzerland. The cocktail programme will excite and entice guests to come back time and again.
Hotel guests will also have access to the Lobby Lounge with its open fire which adjoins the bar and there will also be a specially dedicated residents’ lounge and business centre for hotel guests.
A peaceful wellness area will be available exclusively for guests, and will feature a sauna, steam room, relaxation area, fitness room, plunge pool, spa treatment room and direct access to the wonderfully clean waters of the lake for swimming. Guests will also have access to several activities and services including the hotel yacht, water sports on the Lake, bicycles for exploring the local area and rowing from the local club adjacent to the hotel.
The Interior design, always a major feature of a Campbell Gray Hotel, will incorporate strong natural materials using stone and timber as well as warm, comfortable furniture featuring beautiful colours and of course exciting artwork. The design will have a strong residential feel with every aspect considered to making it especially comfortable for long staying guests.
