Tonight, the European and Americas & APAC winners of the 2024 GuestRevu GREAT Awards were revealed in a lively celebration at Tapa Tapa Wine Bar, coinciding with the bustling atmosphere of WTM London. In collaboration with our sponsors Hop, HOSPA, and Stenden University South Africa, the event brought together hoteliers, industry leaders, and hospitality innovators from across the world.
The 2024 GuestRevu GREAT Awards, which celebrate hotels that provide exceptional guest experience (and get the reviews to prove it), saw over 700 entrants from 55 countries. With more than 75,000 guest reviews analysed, the awards leveraged the free version of GuestRevu’s award-winning reputation management product, GuestRevu LITE, to collect and examine data from Google (24.5% of the total), TripAdvisor (13.8%), and Booking.com (61.7%). Entrants who met the review threshold averaged an impressive score of 87%, with shortlisted properties pushing into the 90% range – a testament to the exceptional dedication of these hoteliers.
Dr Wouter Hensens, Executive Dean at Stenden South Africa and a respected authority in hospitality management and data science oversaw the data analysis. His expertise ensured that the awards’ rigorous standards were maintained, resulting in objective insights that highlighted the achievements of this year’s winners.
The evening’s programme included a special industry panel featuring Sharon Smith, COO at Hop Software; Chris Alexandre, CEO and founder of GuestRevu; Dr Wouter Hensens; and Jane Pendlebury, CEO at HOSPA. Together, they discussed the awards results and shared practical insights on managing online reputations and enhancing guest experiences. Their perspectives underscored the vital role of reputation in today’s hospitality landscape, offering actionable strategies for hoteliers to elevate their guest interactions and loyalty.
