Dubai, February 1st – Grand Mercure Dubai City is delighted to introduce Nawaf Hassan as the newly appointed Cluster Director of Operations Acting General Manager, effective from February 2024.
In his role, Nawaf will play a pivotal part in overseeing the comprehensive operations of the renowned hotel, ensuring excellence across all functions and striving for the highest levels of guest satisfaction. With an extensive background spanning over 22 years in the hospitality industry, Nawaf brings a wealth of experience, having previously held key positions with leading hotel brands. His track record of success and commitment to team development, citing mentoring as a crucial element, establishes him as a valuable addition to the Grand Mercure Dubai City & ibis Styles Dubai Airport leadership team.
Nawaf initiated his career as a Restaurant Supervisor at Kempinski Dead Sea Jordan in his home country, eventually moving to Abu Dhabi in 2009 to join Desert Islands Resort and Spa by Anantara as the Assistant Outlet Manager. His journey continued with notable roles, including Outlet Manager at Qasr al Sarab Desert Resort by Anantara and Operations Manager at Fairmont Dubai Sheikh Zayed Road, before joining Grand Mercure Dubai City & ibis Styles Dubai Airport as the Cluster Director of Operations Acting General Manager.
In his capacity, Nawaf will lead the team, ensuring strict adherence to hotel operating controls, SOP’s, policies, procedures, and service standards. His focus will be on exemplifying a commitment to service excellence by effectively implementing and delivering Accor Core Standards consistently.
