Dinner at Purani Dilli Dubai Located at Four Points by Sheraton SZR

Purani Dilli, the old Delhi, reminds me of bitter winters, carrot halwa, the Red Fort, Chandni Chowk, Paranthe wali Gali, chaat, Republic Day Parade and for dear husband, its about Galoti Kebabs, Seekh kebabs, and mutton curry. Delhi brings back some memories for all of us. Delhi is famous for its landmarks and variety of food choices loved by International travelers as well.
Four Points by Sheratondecided to bring the same charm to Dubai culinary world, with their launch of new impeccable food destinationPurani Dilli Dubaiin the heart of old Dubai and Sheikh Zayed Road. We visited their restaurant on Sheikh Zayed Road on Friday evening with family for dinner and were totally impressed by the food quality, taste, and remarkable service. There are 2 sections available, if you want a quiet space with live music, you can request their team and they could allocate you a different area away from the music.
Right through the reception to our table, we were offered comfortable seating by the window, overlooking the spectacular Sheikh Zayed Road view. The restaurant possesses a very warm and welcoming ambiance. The color theme is nice, the walls look magnificent showcasing ancient Delhi in the form of art. Well, lets talk about food now!
We ordered veg and a non-veg platter to suit the needs of our family, hubby and kids swore by the Galoti kebab and barbecued Indian style prawns and I loved Dahi kebab and paneer tikka, all freshly prepared and served nicely hot on the table. For drinks, we had mocktails with traditional flavors mixed green mint, raw mango. We relished the starters while filling our hearts with the exceptional live singers on board. It was turning out to be a great evening with a delicious meal, family time and to match the mood, some old Indian songs.
The waiter came to us as soon as he saw we were done and asked if we wanted the main course to be served? Our taste buds were already tangling, we wanted to try what else was there for us. For the main course, we had ordered, paneer kadhai, palak shorba, butter chicken, mutton curry, nihari, veg and nonveg biryani with zafrani parantha (sweet bread flavored with saffron) and some butter naan. Everything curated with the right amount of oil and spices and garnished with some fresh herbs. The taste was delectable and quite satisfying to the eyes and the soul. There are some foods that fill your tummy but only a few fills up your heart.
I was craving for some Gulab jamuns so anxiously demanded that for dessert and the server suggested some ras malai and strawberry kulfi for the boys. Our tummies were already begging to stop but our heart wanted more to try. We forgot about calorie count and Intermittent fasting and delightfully indulged ourselves in those sweet savories. So, we were already halfway done on our third course and the server walks in to ask if we would like some tea or coffee. Dubai is still enjoying their winters and who can no to a cup of masala chai even late at night! We requested for masala chai to end our dinner and slowly sipped and enjoyed the rest of the minutes of our evening, sitting together with the family as we love to on the weekends!
Our evening was filled with joy and fabulous experiences at the Purani Dilli, Dubai. We wish to return soon and we will highly recommend it for your friends and family visiting or staying in Dubai.
