Dubai College of Tourism Showcases 'Medyaf' and Career Opportunities in the Tourism Sector at 'Careers UAE 2021'
The exhibition will be held from 15-17 November at Dubai World Trade Centre
Dubai, UAE, 15 November 2021: The Dubai College of Tourism (DCT), is participating in the Careers UAE 2021 exhibition held between 15-17 November at Dubai World Trade Centre to shed light on the initiatives and training courses available at DCT that support the industry nationalisation programme and to help build the next generation workforce for Dubai's hospitality and tourism sectors.
Essa Bin Hadher, General Manager of DCT, commented:"The participation of Dubai College of Tourism in this important annual event reflects an alignment of the goals set by DCT in line with the UAE's industry nationalisation strategy that is fully supported by our visionary leadership, to attract and encourage Emiratis to work in the tourism sector by providing them with suitable training opportunities. At the event we will be providing vital information about services provided under Medyaf including training students during their school vacation, the job opportunities that are available, volunteer work and practical training, in addition to the tour guide programme which is provided to citizens who wish to enroll."
The programmes underMedyaf,established in 2016, includes specialised courses and training programmes specifically designed for Emiratis to enhance their capabilities and hone their skills, and to enable them to be a part of the next generation tourism workforce with the aim of enhancing the destination offering and visitor experience. In addition toMedyaf,DCT also provides certificate courses in Tourism, Events, Hospitality, Retail Business and Culinary Arts.
The DCT stand at the exhibition will be located in Za'abeel Hall 2, No. ZB2-13.
