Job Overview:

This individual is responsible for answering incoming calls to the resort andmust have good typing skills, a pleasant attitude and excellent phone demeanor. The PBX Telephone Operatormustwork wellhandling a high volume of calls. The PBX Telephone Operator should be comfortable and able to answer questions relating to the hotel. Will also assist with room reservations as needed.

Wage Information:
The salary range for this position is $20.29 to $26.00. The starting hourly rate is $20.29. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, including experience, qualifications and education.

Qualifications
• Process all guest requests and relay messages. Gather, summarize, and utilize information about the property and the surrounding area amenities, including special events and activities
• Create new reservations either in person, via email or by telephone
• Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet their requests, hotel standards and accommodate any special client needs
• Research and resolve disputed charges for guests
• Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.
• Collect and post payments to group accounts or guest rooms
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Qualifications - Internal
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to sit for long periods of time
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
• Proficient in basic computer skills including Windows applications
• Customer service experience required
• Friendly and outgoing with a good attitude and professionalism
• Operate telephone switchboard station and fax machine.
• Answer multi-line phones in a courteous, professional manner
• Ability to multi-task, make solid business decisions with minimal supervision and work well under pressure
